YourCoffee Privacy Policy

1. About YourCoffee

YourCoffee is a personal coffee bean inventory and consumption journal. It helps users record coffee bean details, purchases, usage, stock adjustments, tasting notes, ratings, photos, statistics, and related preferences.

2. Information processed locally

Users may choose to enter or generate the following information:

• Coffee bean details, such as name, country, region, farm, variety, processing method, roast level, purchase information, weight, price, dates, notes, flavors, and ratings.
• Usage and calibration records used to calculate remaining stock and statistics.
• Custom processing methods, preferred serving amounts, and other app settings.
• Photos captured by the user and the processed images associated with coffee bean records.
• Local app state required to display records, statistics, release notes, and data format versions.

3. Developer collection and sharing

The current version does not transmit the information above to the developer. It does not require registration or login, does not provide cloud synchronization, and does not include advertising, analytics, crash-reporting, or tracking SDKs.

• The app does not declare the Android INTERNET permission.
• The developer does not sell user data.
• The developer does not share coffee records, photos, notes, or settings with third parties.

Google Play and the user's device or operating-system provider may process store, download, security, or device diagnostic information under their own terms. That processing is separate from data processing performed by the YourCoffee app.

4. Camera and photo processing

The app requests camera permission only when the user chooses to capture a coffee package photo. Photo processing, including local foreground extraction, is performed on the device.

• The original photo is kept temporarily in the app cache during processing and is deleted after processing, cancellation, failure, retaking, or later cache cleanup.
• The processed WebP image may be stored in the app's private storage and associated with the corresponding coffee bean record.
• The current app does not upload photos to a developer server or an AI recognition service.

5. Backup, export, and import

Users may export a ZIP backup containing app records, CSV data, metadata, and processed photos, and may later import a compatible backup. Export and import use the Android system file picker.

• The user chooses where the exported ZIP is stored.
• If the user selects a third-party cloud drive or storage provider, that provider processes the file under its own privacy policy.
• The ZIP backup is not encrypted by YourCoffee. Users should protect the file and delete copies they no longer need.
• Deleting data inside the app does not automatically delete ZIP copies stored outside the app.

6. Storage and security

Records are stored using Android WebView local storage and app-private files. Android automatic app backup is disabled. No security method can eliminate every risk, and users remain responsible for protecting their devices and exported backup files.

7. Data retention and deletion

• Users can edit or permanently delete individual coffee bean records, related usage records, and associated processed photos within the app.
• Users can delete all app-local data by clearing YourCoffee storage in Android system settings or uninstalling the app.
• Exported ZIP files must be deleted separately from the location selected by the user.

Because the current app has no account system or developer-hosted copy, the developer cannot remotely retrieve or delete records stored on a user's device.

8. Children's privacy

YourCoffee is not designed specifically for children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. The app is a record-keeping tool and does not sell coffee or other products.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy before introducing features that materially change data processing, such as accounts, network-based recognition, cloud synchronization, advertising, analytics, or third-party services. The updated page will show a revised effective date.
